We are pleased to announce a Special Issue of the International Journal of Architectural Engineering Technology titled “AI-Driven Optimization and Climate Resilience in Future Building Design.” This issue will be led by Guest Editor Ph.D. Eng. Ferdinando Salata from Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.

Scope of the Special Issue

This Special Issue aims to explore the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and advanced optimization techniques (e.g., genetic algorithms, Grasshopper, etc.) in the design of future buildings and energy-optimized urban districts across various climate zones.

With climate change intensifying the demand for energy-efficient and resilient architectural solutions, this issue will bring together cutting-edge research on integrating renewable energy systems, enhancing thermal comfort, and leveraging AI-optimized designs to achieve carbon neutrality and climate adaptability.

Submissions are encouraged in, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • AI-driven optimization for energy-efficient building designs across diverse climate zones
  • Climate-resilient architectural strategies for extreme weather adaptation

  • Peer Review Notification: Within 4–6 weeks of submission
  • Final Acceptance & Publication: Continuous publishing upon acceptance
