Roles of Guest Editors
1) Presentation of a Proposal
The Special Issue theme should be of high current interest, broad enough to attract a reasonable number of submissions, but at the same time narrow enough to maintain a strong focus on the theme. The Editorial Board reviews the proposal for approval.
Proposals for Special Issues can be submitted here.
2) Collecting Submissions
Once the proposal is finalized and announced, the Guest Editor is expected to invite their colleagues and notable scholars in the discipline to submit relevant articles for the collection. Publisher staff can also offer help sending invitations.
Submissions are also collected through journal advertisements and sometimes through the editorial team's efforts.
3) Managing Submission
Submissions received for the special issue are automatically assigned to Guest Editors through our online system. Guest Editors are expected to perform the initial evaluation, have the article reviewed by at least two independent referees, and make the editorial decision regarding the submission.
