Aims and Scope:
IOR/EOR technologies are an evergreen theme of conventional fields in Petroleum Engineering used by almost all companies using water injection or chemical methods. This topic highlights the latest IOR/EOR injection technologies and achievements in related machine/deep learning and environmental protection. These technologies include smart and low-salinity waterflooding, different types of chemical flooding (polymer, surfactant, alkaline, solvent, etc., combination of chemicals), implementation of nanoparticles, injection of bacteria (MEOR), injection of various gases, etc.
Articles can vary in different directions: mathematical or simulation studies, laboratory tests, pilot tests, well/field implementation, analysis, and lessons learned from the injection. We also welcome articles on IOR/EOR research and the application of new methods in machine/deep learning. In addition, the topic must necessarily include articles on the injection of chemicals, other wastes or emissions from factories, carbon capture, and injection into reservoirs as the IOR/EOR to reduce environmental pollution.
It is my pleasure to invite you, as an expert in this field, to contribute to this special Issue of IJPT on IOR/EOR for Conventional Reservoirs by submission of original research or reviews on a related topic.
